Certified translations into Albanian
Likewise, sworn translations of original documents in foreign languages into Albanian can generally be certified in Albania or Kosovo.
- Translations required for submission to authorities in Albania must be certified by a translator authorised by the Albanian Ministry of Justice.
If a translation is certified abroad, it may also be necessary to legalize the translation in the country of issue (for example with an Apostille Stamp).
Certified translations from Albanian
Sworn translations can be certified in Albania or Kosovo, or locally in the country where they are to be submitted.
For example, if a document in Albanian needs to be translated into French of English for submission to authorities in France or the UK:
- A translation from Albanian can be certified in Albania or Kosovo. However, the sworn translation will often also need to be legalized with an Apostille stamp from the Albanian or Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs (an additional procedure that authenticates a document or translation for international use).
- Albanian translations required for submission to the authorities of the United Arab Emirates must be legalized by the UAE embassy in Athens (documents from Albania) or Podgorica (documents from Kosovo).
- Albanian translations required for submission to the authorities of Qatar must be legalized by the Qatari embassy in Tirana.
- Translations may also be certified in the country where the document is to be submitted.
- Albanian translations required for submission to foreign embassies in Tirana may also require legalization or an Apostille Stamp.
