Pricing  (Translation Services)

We assess each translation project individually to provide the best quotation possible on each occasion, with different urgent and non-urgent turnaround options. The rates we charge for each project are based on the following factors:

Source and Target Language

Translator rates vary according to the language of the original document and the language it is being translated into (source and target language). Uncommon and obscure language combinations tend to cost more, just because there are fewer qualified translators available. And costs are also somewhat linked to the cost of living in the countries where the target language is spoken as a native language and where translators are based.

Specialist subject matter

Specialist subject matter requiring translators with expertise in specific technical areas, such as medicine, law or finance, will cost more than non-specialist translations, not only because specialist translators are required, but also because the review process is more intensive.

Urgency

Urgent translations cost more than non-urgent translations. Where deadlines are flexible, we can keep the price to a minimum with discounted rates. When you contact us for a quotation, we will offer a number of turnaround options with urgent and non-urgent prices, so that you can choose the option that best suits you for each project.

Regular projects and large projects

We offer special rates for larger translation projects and for regular ongoing work. If you have content to translate on a regular basis, we can arrange discounted monthly or quarterly pricing plans.

Non-profit organizations and charities

Where possible, we offer discounted rates to charities and non-profit organizations.

Duplicate content

We will always take duplicate content into consideration when pricing a project, discounting content that is repeated exactly or partially within the same project and content repeated from previous projects from the same client.

Intended use

Translations of documents containing critical information for publication or official submission need additional revision and proof-reading. For internal and non-critical documents, a simple review is generally sufficient – this reduces the price.

Certification

When certification is required, this has an additional cost which varies depending on the country where the translations are certified. Additional fees may be charged when Apostille certification or cross-border legalisation is required, and may include notary and consular fees. In all cases, the price we quote you will include all taxes and fees payable to public authorities.

First-time clients

Whenever possible, we will offer first-time clients an introductory discount on the first translation ordered from us. This discount will be specified on your quotation.

Reducing translation costs for our clients

Our pricing strategy is focused on the principle that the greatest proportion of the price we charge our clients is used to engage talented and committed translators, keeping incidental costs and overheads to a minimum.

At a project level, we work to minimise costs by employing technologies which assist and speed up human translation work. And by identifying duplicate content within a project, as well as content that is repeated from previous projects of the same client, we can reduce the amount of chargeable content.

At an organisational level, minimising costs involves a constant effort, using global reach to secure the most cost-effective translation providers for different areas of specialisation and different target languages, while keeping administrative costs as low as possible.

We price each project individually, based on an allocation of resources that is appropriate to the specific content, requirements and purpose of the translation. Unnecessary work on a project, while often sold as a guarantee of quality, is an inefficiency. Efficiency, on the other hand, is itself a mark of quality and a constant priority in our approach to every project and every client.

Please contact us for a quotation. We will check your documents and get back to you with a choice of urgent and non-urgent pricing options.
