Italy - Certified translations
Translations into Italian
Sworn translations from foreign languages into Italian must be certified by the translator as "per traduzione conforme".
Translations done in Italy and required for submission to Italian authorities must be carried out by a court-appointed a sworn translator and certified by the translator at the court or before a notary public.
If a translation is certified abroad, the translation must be certified according to the rules of the country where it is carried out, and then legalized by Apostille stamp by the local Italian embassy (note that each Italian embassy may have specific rules for certifying local translations or their own designated translators).

Translations from Italian for submission abroad
A translation of an Italian document into another language can be certified in Italy. However, the sworn translation will often also need to be legalized with an Apostille stamp from the Public Prosecutor’s Office (an additional procedure that authenticates a document or translation for international use).
Italian translations required for submission to the authorities of the United Arab Emirates or Qatar must be legalized by the UAE or Qatari embassy in Rome.
Translations may also be certified in the country where the document is to be submitted. Italian translations required for submission to foreign embassies in Rome may also require legalization by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs or an Italian Apostille Stamp.
