Spain - Certified translations
Translations into Spanish
Foreign documents required for submission to authorities in Spain should be translated into Spanish in Spain. Translations should be done after all certifications (e.g. Apostilles) have been applied to the original documents. Translations required for submission to Spanish authorities must be certified by a translator who is authorized by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (in Spanish) (traducción jurada)
Any translation to Spanish done abroad must be undertaken or checked at a Spanish Consulate, or confirmed by a foreign embassy in Madrid. The translation must then be legalised at the Spanish Ministry for Foreign Affairs before it can be submitted to authorities in Spain.
Translations from Spanish
Certified translations of documents in Spanish that are needed for use abroad must be legalized by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then by the embassy of the destination country in Madrid. Spain does not issue Apostille Stamps to certify translations, so it is often easier to undertake a certified translation in the destination country.

Most Mexican States maintain a list of expert translators (perito traductor autorizado) appointed by the High Court (Tribunal Superior) - translations certified by a state-authorised expert translator will be valid only for institutions of that State.
At a Federal level, expert translators are authorised by the Consejo de la Judicatura Federal (in Spanish)

Mexican documents that need to be translated from Spanish for submission to authorities in other countries can be authenticated in Mexico with an Apostille Stamp.
