Official documents that can be legalized in Bangladesh include birth and death certificates, marriage certificates and Nikahnama, Police Clearance Certificates, University degree diplomas and transcripts, company registration and tax documents, court documents, university and academic diplomas, certificates signed by registered doctors etc., documents issued by government authorities. Most documents require prior certification by a notary public and then the Ministry of Law, the Ministry of Home Affairs or Ministry of Education.

How can I obtain a Bangladeshi Police Clearance Certificate for use abroad?

The Police Clearance Certificate for the Bangladeshi citizens residing in abroad is issued from the respective Police Station in Bangladesh. Applicants need to apply directly or through nominated relatives in Bangladesh. You will require a Bangladeshi Mobile number to apply for a police clearance directly. If you do not have a Bangladeshi Mobile number, you can have someone apply on your behalf.
